Hypixel Skyblock Lore So Far

This compilation of lore is collected from The Journal Entries obtained while playing The Catacombs Dungeon.

YEAR 1138

Journal: The Apprentice Part 1-3

A student in The Mage Academy, Necron, was pondering about the cause of his parents' death 17 years ago.

His reputation was bad in The Academy, as the teachers called him 'THE WORST STUDENT OF THE ENTIRE ACADEMY'. The stress developed there and the loss of his parents made him believe that forbidden magic locked by The Dean of The Academy is the key to all his questions.

A new character, some people presumed to be SCARF, has been given a forbidden scroll by an unknown individual, doubtlessly The Professor a.k.a Professor Oak. It is revealed that The Dean of The Mage Academy is Scarf's father. Upon reading a forbidden scroll, he learns how to brew Invisibility Potions and used it to break into the vault filled with forbidden magic.

Necron, having control of a forbidden scroll, attempts to use it to interrogate The Wither King, or known in his human life as KAEMAN.

Kaeman reveals that the forbidden scroll was created by himself, using Fel magic. From that day forward, Kaeman and Necron converse frequently to learn more about forbidden magic. Kaeman was also put in a cage, hence why I wrote it as interrogated.

At his price though, Necron broke free Kaeman's cage. Following the breakout, they destroy part of the island containing his cage and fled to The Catacombs, an underground graveyard for mass burial due to The Calamity.

YEAR 1143

Journal: The Follower Part 1-2

The Calamity is likely the cause of death for the character Lathrop's parents, and supposedly Scarf and Necron, too. It is described that The Calamity opened a portal at the top of The Hub Mountain.

This portal is likely where The Watcher originated from. Speaking of The Watcher, Lathrop and The Watcher also have a strong connection with each other, with Lathrop seeing it in his dreams. Lathrop is also raised by Doctor Emmet.

After handing the papers to Emmet's colleague in The Wilderness, Lathrop goes to an inn to spend out the night. However, a mysterious person, that bears a resemblance with someone in his visions, talks to him. He accidentally rambles all his thoughts in front of this supposed drunk person.

Journal: Murderer

Moving to a different character, Livid grew up in The Guild of Thieves and was taught to steal. He's also an orphan which bears a resemblance to the novel OLIVER TWIST.

However, this one is a bit darker.

At the age of 17, he was assigned an assassination contract, and he became an assassin ever since. He killed lots of targets, but he's unsatisfied of his killing spree. So, he started a journey in search of 'worthy target'.

He ended up in an inn and met Lathrop. He pretended to be drunk and started asking him questions because Lathrop was caught talking to a mysterious merchant. Then, Lathrop accidentally rambled his thoughts. After hearing about the merchant's room, he approached it quietly, but was found by his own target. Turns out the target was a mage, who was disguising as a merchant and knocked Livid unconscious.

YEAR 1531

Journal: Karyelle's Diary

A new character named Karyelle is introduced. She was visiting The Catacombs to visit her grandparents' tomb, but found that the entire Catacomb had been ransacked.

Then, it is revealed that her grandparents have been resurrected as ZOMBIES, and they, alongside other Undead, were the ones responsible for ransacking The Catacombs.

She reported this to The Mage Association, which captures The Undead Grandma and experiments on her and another Zombie.

Journal: The Study: Blavier of Myles

The Mage Association were baffled by the existence of Zombies, because the last zombie was seen 400 years ago.

After experiment on The Undead Grandma (which is nicknamed 'New'), it is discovered that Zombies have fast regeneration and an abnormal desire for human flesh.

New and another zombie were killed as a retribution for killing Officer Roy due to a containment breach.

Journal: The Expedition Part 1

After the news, The King sent a garrison of soldiers, alongside General Dan and Mage Solomon to investigate The Catacombs.

Journal: Uncanny Remains

The Wither King was first introduced, despite that his actual first appearance was in year 1138.

Journal: The Expedition Part 2

Due to the large area of The Catacombs, the garrison set up camp there. Upon further exploration, they found the ransacked tombs.

Journal: Grim Adversity

During the exploration, a soldier named Albert was killed by unidentified Undead creature. Solomon, with his magic spell, managed to repel the creature.

Journal: The Expedition Part 3

After doing so, the garrison was ambushed by Wither Skeletons. They managed to kill three soldiers, with General Dan commanding the rest of the survivors to enter the third floor to escape.

Journal: The Expedition Part 4

The garrison found the largest room in Floor 3 and decided to camp there. The soldiers then agreed to end the expedition.

Before they left, Undead and Spiders attacked them from all sides, causing many deaths. The writer of this journal made an escape with a few other soldiers.

Unfortunately, a soldier was possessed by an unknown entity and started to kill.

Before he did, the writer cast a Stun Spell on him before he could kill anymore survivors.

The writer, although later, is presumably killed, as bloodstains block the last page.

Journal: The Walls

General Dan was killed by a Wither, and the writer managed to escape while the rest were being bombarded by monsters.

The writer eventually got lost as he claimed that The Catacombs were shifting from time to time, making his sketched map useless and hinting that The Dungeons in-game were randomly generated.

He slowly lost his sanity, and eventually died from hunger.

It is theorized that the map he charted is the same map we use to navigate The Catacombs, as Mort The Dungeon Keeper found it while exploring.

Journal: The Eye

The writer in this journal, Sadan, encounters The Watcher. He was the only one to feel its presence, probably because of his necromancy traits.

The Watcher then convinces Sadan to join The Wither King's army.

Journal: Aftermath

The journal is now in the antagonists' perspective, likely an Undead wrote this.

The Wither from The Expedition Part 4 is revealed to be Necron, and Solomon was captured because Necron wanted to interrogate him.

And that's the current lore. This was just a headache to write because I just finished Judgment Day Part 3, so this is just insane. I will also make a backstory for all the locations, so just stay in tune for that.

Now, I'm gonna take a rest. LOL.
