THE UPRISING 2 - Part 1

"Breaking News!

Nivarachea is at the verge of rebellion against the nation of Polark. Ever since a noble sacrifice was caused by one of Nivarachea's residents, Bob Milton, who took notorious Imperial general Clint Burnham down with him, people have gathered around and started a huge war to defeat The Imperial. Unfortunately, the new Imperial leader, Billy Maxfield, has sent an initiative to ELIMINATE all rebels that stood in his way..."

THE UPRISING 2

ACT 1

"You guys suck!" A soldier shouted on an Imperial ship. A chase is happening between a group of rebels and the Imperial soldiers. The soldiers keep missing their shots, which was lucky for the rebels. Soon, a rebel helicopter flew by and blasted the Imperial ship. "Ha! Direct hit!" A rebel in the helicopter said. Suddenly, the helicopter was blasted by an Imperial tank on the shores. A Resistance Leader named Ben dodged the tank's blast and threw a grenade through the cannon's hole, blasting the tank to smithereens.

"The soldiers are coming from the North Dock! We'll need to secure it! I repeat, we need to-" a rebel's words were cut when an Imperial captain came from behind and striked the rebel with an axe. "You two soldiers! Stop following me and start fighting in the North Dock!" The captain yelled. "Aye, Captain Mel," the soldiers replied.

Not long after, a giant rebel plane flies overhead. The door opens and Elora jumps down. "WINGSUIT, PLEASE WORK!" She muttered. "That's a Resistance Leader! Shoot her!" Captain Mel yelled through her walkie-talkie. The soldier she contacted armed his minigun and began shooting. Luckily, Elora managed to activate her wingsuit and dodged the bullets. The minigun barrage stopped abruptly, when the soldier realised that he didn't fill it with enough ammunition. Elora kicked the soldier down the building and landed on the streets of San Pranfisco.

"Guys! Sorry, I'm late. Explosions are everywhere in the skies. Anyways, if you can hear me, meet me at the marketplace," Elora said. "On it! We're a bit busy, so we'll make it as fast as we could!" Ben replied through the walkie-talkie.

Elora continued to walk down the ruined streets of San Pranfisco. The streets were filled with burning buildings, dead bodies, and vehicle debris. "This war really is brutal. Now that I think of it, I think every war is brutal," Elora said to herself. She soon arrived at the marketplace. "Shh! Keep it down would you? She's gonna hear us!" An Imperial soldier whispered to her fellow soldier.

The two soldiers are hiding behind one of the market stands. An Imperial captain by the name of Captain Cal watches Elora from inside a building. Cal jumped down and attacked Elora from behind. "Crap!" Elora shouted whilst arming her rifle. Captain Cal dodged her shots and punched her on the face, with the two other Imperial soldiers rushing to help Cal. The three toss her around like a volley ball before Elora manages to hit Cal with her rifle. Cal, enraged, punches her hard and tosses her to a market stand. "Ha! Like childsplay," Cal laughed.

"Now, where is her rifle?" He asked the two Imperial soldiers. One of them handed him the rifle. Cal arms the rifle and aims at Elora's weak state. "Sayonara, bastar-" Cal's words were cut off when a van drifts to the scene. A rebel jumps out and stabs Cal, putting him down. The other soldiers scramble, but another rebel shot the soldiers from afar. "You're lucky we came here," Ben smiled. "Haha, yeah, I shouldn't have let my guard down," Elora said.

"Oh yeah! Meet the team: there's Joseph, the archer; Edward, the bomb expert; and Ed's sister, Kat, the path-finder," Ben said. "Hey!" Edward shouted. Elora smiled at her team, and entered the van. They drove off towards an Imperial camp.

"So why the hell are we going to an Imperial camp anyways?" Kat asked. "We want information on where Billy is, since we heard that he's in San Pranfisco, too. Plus, we'll need a place to sleep for the night. Unless you want to sleep on dirt," Elora replied. After a bumpy trip, the team parked their van outside of the camp. "This is an Imperial van we stole. They won't suspect anything," Joseph said.

To avoid being caught, Edward opened the van's backdoor and hid in a bush. The soldiers approached the van, shouting, "Hey! What the flip?! Didn't we tell you guys to scout the area?". "They're probably noobs," another soldier said. While the soldiers were inspecting, the team snuck their way to the camp.

"Alright. Here's the plan. Most soldiers are gathering around the campfire. Kat, Edward, you deal with the campfire guards. Judging by the looks of it, that red tent contains weapons. It's only guarded by one soldier. Ben, you distract him while I go in the tent. Joseph, you stay here in case anything bad happens," Elora explained.

"So how's life going?" An Imperial soldier asked to his fellow soldiers. "Great. Ever since Billy doubled our payment, I'm living the life. As long as I don't die," a soldier replied. "Not good. My family abandoned me when I was away fighting here in Nivarachea. Heck, my now ex-family burned down our old house to spite me more!" A soldier replied with anger.

Edward leaped to the scene and threw a smoke bomb. Edward and Kat took the soldiers out one by one amidst the smoke. Ben also leaped into action and distracted the soldier guarding the weapons tent. "HEY, LOSER! OVER HERE!" Ben shouted. The soldiers opened fire while Ben ran deeper to the woods. Elora snuck in the weapons tent and fought the soldier there. She grabbed a shield to protect her from the soldier's shots, and threw the shield at him, knocking him down.

In the woods, Ben was still being chased by the soldier. Joseph shot the soldier from behind with a poison tipped arrow, killing the soldier in an instant. "I should've brought my gun," Ben muttered. The team gathered together and interrogated a soldier. "Alright. You better start spilling some information," Elora said.

"We're just gonna ask a couple of questions". "First off, where is Billy?" Joseph asked. "Ha! I will never tell you! Even with my dead body!" The soldier replied. Elora punched him and said, "That was punch number 1. You better talk. Unless you want to lose all your teeth."

"Still won't!" The soldier replied. Elora continued to punch him two times until one of his teeth fell off. "That was punch number 2 and 3. Shall I continue?" Elora asked. "Okay, okay! I... I actually don't know. Like, for-" the soldier's words were cut when Elora punched him again. "Punch number 4," she said. "Alright. Umm, what about his last known location?" Edward asked. The soldier shook his head before Elora punched him again.

"If I punch you ten times, your life will be ruined," she said. "Look, lady! Billy is very shady. Only the captains know his secrets! We, as soldiers, can't even play computer games or watch Batflix on the computers!" The soldier replied. "But I did overhear him say that he was about to raid the San Pranfisco Plaza. That's all I know, okay?" He continued. "That's enough info. But we will still tie you up and lock you in the van," Elora said.

When Elora and the others exited the tent, she ordered Joseph and Kat to bring the Imperial soldier to the van. Elora looked around and saw a familiar face on the hill. "I must be hallucinating," she said to herself. Elora, curious about what she saw, went to the hill and saw Bob, Apollo, Brutus, and Woof together in a picnic. "Oh, look's like our special guest arrived. Come here, Elora!" Bob shouted.

Elora approached them and asked, "Am I dead, or am I seeing ghosts?". "Neither of them," Apollo replied. "You did great leading the rebels. I always trusted you from the beginning. Plus, you're a beau- Okay, why am I telling my ferlings to you?" Bob said. Elora chuckled, and did a group hug with her old friends. "I wished you all didn't... die," Elora cried.

"Sometimes, you just got to move on from the past sis," Apollo said. Right then, Elora woke up on the hill. "Hey, Elora. We're setting up dinner. What's going on?" Ben asked. Elora looked towards where she saw her dead friends, but nothing was there. "Nothing. I just... thought I saw something," Elora replied, as she went down the hill.

ACT 2

The team sat around the campfire and ate marshmellows. "Hey, you guys ever heard of San Francisco?" Ben asked. "No, not San Pranfisco here. Turns out, there was a city called San Francisco outside of Nivarachea, but our version resembles Venice more than it," he continued. "Have I ever told you guys about an event called World War III? Polark was involved with it, I think. Based on what I've read, there were two other World Wars and they were fought between nations from all around," Edward said.

While the others were sharing fun facts with each other, Elora looked at an old photo of her alongside her past friends. The people in the photo, such as Bob and Apollo, all had a large red X, signifying their death. Billy in the photo had the words, "FUDGE YOU!" beside him.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Kat approached. "Oh, nothing. I just... missed my old friends," Elora replied. "Whoa! Is that Bob? You never told us you two were friends! Also, Billy looks so different in that photo," Kat said in surprise. "We, uh, used to fight The Imperial together. He was nice, actually. Pretty funny, too. He can make a serious situation look fun," Elora said. "But now they're... gone". Kat patted her on the back, as if she knew what Elora was feeling.

"I've encountered something like this, too. You know, me and Edward saw our parents get taken away by the deceased General Clint of The Imperial. Even to this day, it still gives me shivers seeing the psychotic smile he had across his face. But I endured it. I carried on with my life. Because of that one moment in life, I had determination to kick Polark's butts!" Kat said with an uplifting tone. Elora looked at the photo one last time before putting it in her bag. "You're right," Elora replied.

Meanwhile, in the San Pranfisco Plaza, some rebels have already made a temporary base there. They were scouting out the marketplace. Some patrols inside the building heard a loud noise outside the Plaza. One of the rebels wanted to open the door, but another warned not to, as he thinks its a trap.

Unfortunately, the culprits broke down the door and revealed themselves as Imperial soldiers. "Oh, God! I need backup!" A rebel shouted. Other rebels came, but it was no use. Captain Mel pulled out her daggers and sliced everyone in her way. After the violence ended, Billy stepped inside. "Huh. What a bloody mess," he said while brushing his suit. "Hey! Don't forget about me!" Captain Cal shouted.

"They stabbed me, but luckily I equipped a shield right before the sword pierced through. And here I am". Billy, Mel, Cal and the other soldiers gathered up at the middle of the plaza. Billy looked around and noticed a rebel that was still alive. The rebel was calling Elora and her team. "CRAP!" Billy shouted before shooting the rebel to death. Unfortunately, the rebel accidentally spoiled Elora's location. "Weaponize the area! Ready the stealth helicopter! We're gonna hunt Elora and her friends," Billy shouted.

"Elora! Wake up! We need to go to the plaza ASAP!" Edward shouted at the still-asleep Elora. "You could've just sprayed water on me instead of exploding my ear drums," Elora muttered. "Look, it's serious. The rebels at the plaza are attacked by Billy and his-" Edward's words were cut when Elora immediately exited the camp and ordered everyone to pack their weapons.

Unfortunately, they were too busy to notice an Imperial stealth helicopter above the camp, with the Imperial soldier arming a rocket launcher. Ben noticed this and shouted, "EVERYBODY, RUN!", before the soldier shot the RPG towards the weapons tent. "Hey! You plan to blow me to bits?! I'm an Imperial soldier, you God damn moron!" The captivated Imperial soldier shouted. That didn't stop the helicopter from shooting. The team brought the captive soldier with them and rushed towards the van, with the helicopter now arming a minigun.

Bullets rained from the sky, and before the team entered the van, it was blown up by an RPG. "Oh, sh-" Joseph's words were cut off when another explosion occured behind them. "Look! There's a boat!" Kat pointed. The team, including the captive soldier, jumped on the boat and started the engine. Eventually, Imperial boats chase them alongside two other helicopters. "Run, run, little COWARDS!" Billy laughed whilst watching through one of the soldier's cameras.

Other than the Imperial, bandits joined the chaos as well. "Okay, we've got Imperial soldiers AND bandits? Great!" Ben muttered. "At least they're killing each other... And I don't have anymore positive-" Elora's words were cut when the Imperial soldiers and bandits began shooting. "It's those darn bandits again! Don't let them to catch OUR targets!" Billy shouted through the walkie-talkie.

Back in the chase, an emImperial boat and a bandit boat are having a fight, with the Imperial boat emerging victorious. An Imperial soldier tried to destroy the rebels' boat with an RPG, but a bandit crushes him with his tank. An Imperial helicopter blew up the tank afterwards. "Crap, an Imperial boat's gaining on us," Kat muttered.

The Imperial boat was just across them, and both sides began to shoot at each other. "Shoot the motor engine on the boats! It'll cause it to explode!" Joseph exclaimed. Elora shot at the motor engine, and the Imperial boat exploded. The two Imperial helicopters and one Imperial boat were left. A helicopter was about to shoot, but was destroyed when a bandit plane shot it multiple times. A bandit boat and an Imperial boat were slowly closing in on the rebel boat. "Damn it, you guys! I'm an Imperial soldier, too!" The captive soldier shouted, but both boats kept shooting.

"That's it! I'm resigning! I don't care if that's allowed in The Imperial's fleet, and I'm lodging a formal complaint to you all!" The captivated soldier continued. Elora tried to shoot the motor engine at the Imperial boat, but was unsuccessful when an Imperial soldier went in the way and got himself shot, preventing the Imperial boat from exploding. "Hey Edward! Can you, like, tie a bomb on my arrow? Quickly!" Joseph commanded. Edward tied the bomb, and Joseph managed to destroy the Imperial boat.

The bandit boat got closer, and Elora decided to enter the bandit boat to kill the bandits. Elora punched the first bandit to the water and dodged the second bandit's punch, before she grabbed her head and knocked it on the boat itself. Scared, the third bandit jumped from the boat and swam to safety, only for the last Imperial helicopter to shoot him mercilessly.

The bandit plane from earlier came again, and a fight in the skies ensued. "Wow. Since when did the bandits and The Imperial get so aggressive?" Ben asked. "Since the bandits sabotaged The Imperial's weapon supplies!" Kat replied. Eventually, the Imperial helicopter destroyed the plane and quickly shot their RPG at the rebel boat, exploding it.

"Ha ha! Yes! We got rid of them! Team Ruby, you will receive a reward," Billy said in excitement. However, the rebels survived and stayed underwater until the helicopter flies by. They emerged from the water, before swimming their way to shore. "Ow! My arm!" Edward cried. His right leg was heavily wounded after the explosion. "Heh. We all look like fried chicken. At least we survived," Elora said jokingly.

Kat pulled out a bandage to tend Edward's wound. "Hey, uhm, can I join? I've just been betrayed by my own friends and I don't really know what else I could do," the captivated Imperial soldier said. "No, no, no. You could just be lying and trying to spy on us. Sorry, but we're gonna have to-" Joseph's words were cut when the soldier said, "Look, if I were actually gathering information from you, I would've sabotaged the boat during that chase!".

Elora calmed the two down and said, "We'll bring him. He is an Imperial soldier and we can gather more info from him. When we reach the plaza and confront Billy, we'll let you talk to him for a bit. But you need to be heavily guarded". "Well, two things: My name is Charles, and rebel lady, I think we have a deal," the Imperial soldier said. Fortunately, the coastline lead to the San Pranfisco Plaza. "Well, let's catch ourselves a big fish," Ben said.

ACT 3

The team walked through the streets of ruined San Pranfisco yet again.

"This place looks more ravaged than last time," Joseph muttered. Elora saw yet another familar face in an alleyway. It was Bob again. "Yo! It's your friendly neighborhood hallucination pseudo-ghost Bob! Sorry. Can't think of an opening," Bob said. "So why are you here?" Elora asked.

Bob shook his head, and said, "Why I'm here doesn't matter. What matters is that Billy is plotting something devious". Elora looked worried and confused. "What is it?" Elora asked. "Look. I can't physically help. Because, you know... I'm in your head. I'm supposed to give you motivational words. I know you can defeat Billy. He's tough, but with determination, you can do it," Bob said with an uplifting tune. "Hey! Elora! We have some news! Where the heck did you go?" Ben shouted. Elora looked back and saw no one yet again.

Elora joined back to her team again and met some rebels running from the Plaza. "Bruh. Billy has overrun the San Pranfisco Plaza and installed lazer droids or something. Those things shoot lazers, like their name," a rebel explained. Things became clear when the rebels snuck near the San Pranfisco Plaza and noticed several Imperial banners and Polark's flag placed in the center.

Several Imperial soldiers are guarding the entrance, alongside a single Lazer Droid. A Communication Beacon was also placed near some market stalls and guarded by guards on all sides. "I know the exact solution!" Edward shouted. Ben and Edward looked at each other and armed a bomb. They were ready to throw it towards the soldiers. "KABOO-" Their words were cut off when Kat slapped them. "You can't resolve everything by blowing things up! Arm a smoke bomb instead or something," Kat suggested. "That's not a bad idea," Elora smiled.

Joseph took the smoke bomb from Ben's hands and threw it towards the Communication Beacon. "What the f- I can't see anything!" An Imperial soldier muttered. The rebels snuck in and ruined the Communication Beacon before planting a bomb in it. When the smoke cleared, Edward chuckled, and shouted, "Alright. KABOOM!" before pressing the button and blowing up the surrounding area. The other Imperial soldiers were alerted and came to the scene. The rebels attacked as well, and it was an all out battle.

"Yo, Jonathan! Remember me? Come closer, I need to show you something!" Charles shouted at an Imperial soldier in the middle of the battlefield. When the soldier apptoached, Charles kicked him on the knee and hit him with a gun. "Look. I don't want to kill you, so you just, lay down there," Charles said. The battle continued and a Lazer Droid is now stepping into the battlefield. It detected the rebels and shot them with its laser. Elora was targetted, but before the Droid could shoot, Ben hit it from behind and dismantled its head. "Thanks," Elora said. "Your welcome. Uhm, the soldiers are still coming, so it would be a tough time reaching Billy," Ben said.

"That means I'm going in alone. There's few to no soldiers inside since the soldiers are here," Elora said. HEY GUYS! YOU NEED TO DISTRACT THEM SO I CAN REACH THE PLAZA!" She shouted. Joseph hid behind a wall to arm his Explosive Arrow and Edward threw a Smoke Bomb to distract them more. Kat ran towards the roof of a building and sniped the Imperial soldiers that got too close to the front lines. Ben fought the soldiers head on, while Elora secretly goes in the Plaza.

The Plaza was littered with Imperial banners and weaponry. The place seemed dull, with no one around. All Elora could hear were gunshots from outside. As she continues to explore the halls, she managed to reach a large chamber with four deactivated Laser Droids.

Suddenly, the speaker turned on. "Ehem. Hello? Can you hear me? I hope you can so I'm not talking by myself. I think you know who I am. It's your friendly neighborhood Billy! Look, I know you're dying to meet me, but I've got a little bit of a challenge for you here. See those Laser Droids? Well, they're going to activate any second now, and I'll give you ten minutes to defeat them all," Billy said through the speaker.

After that, the doors shut and the Laser Droids are slowly activating. "If ten minutes has passed without you defeating those Laser Droids, this room will slowly fill up with water. Unless you can hold your breath forever, you won't have a chance to survive. Anyways, good luck, loser!" Billy added while laughing. "That damn flipping motherfudging crapface," Elora muttered.

A Laser Droid rushed from behind and knocked Elora against the wall. Three other Laser Droids came and cornered Elora, ready to shoot their lasers.

"Come on, you can't die now. You're literally the main protagonist. Defeat those Droids and kick Billy's butt!" Bob said from afar. Elora dodged the lasers and went underneath a large desk placed in the center of the room. Elora quickly thought of something, and got an idea. "Hopefully they can't penetrate iron shields," she said to herself.

A Laser Droid grabbed the table and threw it aside. When it was about to shoot, Elora pulled out her shield and managed to block the laser. She proceeded to throw a spear at it, destroying its head. While she was distracted with that Laser Droid, another one took the opportunity and shot its laser at Elora. "Ow!" Elora shouted before hiding behind the thrown table. "It burns so badly. These stupid Droids," she added.

Elora exited her hiding spot and shot two more Laser Droids. Five minutes remain and the last Laser Droid punches Elora against the wall. Elora grabbed her sword and stabbed it to the Droid, before grabbing its gead and stabbing it as well.

The doors automatically opened and Elora exited the room, right before the room started to fill with water. Elora climbed the spiral staircase and opened a door leading to the helipad. Billy was there waiting for the helicopter, but Elora approached. "Holy crap! I didn't expect you to come here! Or am I seeing a ghost?" Billy said with a comedic tone. "Enough jokes! You're cornered, Billy. It's a fight or flight situation," Elora said.

Billy pulled out a glaive, and said, "Bring it on then." Billy sprinted towards Elora, but she manages to dodge it and was about to hit Billy, but he dodged as well before pushing Elora away. "Hope lasers are enough for you!" Billy chuckled before turning on a Laser Droid's head and shooting a laser with it. Elora pulled her shield and blocked it, and threw it towards Billy. Billy dodged it and the two clashed, getting closer and closer tothe edge.

Eventually, Elora gets punched on the face and falls to the ground. "You were bold enough to chase me here! Still can't forgive me when I burned down Oakland Village, huh?" Billy said mockingly before arming his glaive, ready to impale Elora. "Oh, just you laugh," Elora chuckled before rolling over to the side, wity Billy's glaive stuck to the ground. "Gosh darn it!" Billy shouted in frustation, but Elora came from behind and punched Billy's head hard enough until he drops down unconscious. "Wow. I didn't think my punch would've been that hard," Elora said. She tied up Billy and brought him to the exit of the Plaza.

The rebels won the fight but lost many soldiers. Luckily, Elora's team were okay, only sustaining minor damage. "So, what are we gonna do to this jerk?" Charles asked. "He's an important member to The Imperial. I say we keep him, bring him back to base, and ask him a few questions. Sounds good?" Ben suggested. The others nodded, and the remaining rebels drove off back to their new base: Snowcapped Ville.
